Principal's Welcome
I have been a member of the District 161 team since August of 2000. I started my career in District 161 at Frankfort Square School teaching Third Grade and transitioned to Dr. Julian Rogus School in the same role after construction was completed. In 2009, I moved to Indian Trail School and joined the Third Grade Team. In 2011, I left Trail to become the Assistant Principal at Hilda Walker School. After being there for 2 years, I finally came back to my home, Indian Trail.
All of these experiences allow me to assist the teachers, as well as partner with you to ensure our students are prepared for the demands of the middle school transition. Along with the phenomenal staff, I am dedicated to continuing the successes here at Indian Trail and to building strong relationships with teachers, staff, students, parents, community members. We will continue our focus of providing a safe and nurturing environment and increasing student achievement through a strong common core curriculum. Our base of success will be built upon instructional strategies that maintain high expectations, and nurture not just student academics, but the emotional needs of our students.
Finally, we will take the time to enjoy each and every student in the building as, at the end of the day, it is our students that we all work so hard for. I look forward to many successful years as a member of the Trailblazer team, and I partner with you to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students. It will be due to our unity and strong communication that we continue to advance our students. Your input is very much appreciated and welcomed. I look forward to working with you.
